A man stabs another with a needle full of sedative, this isn't bloody but can be quite shocking.
Nazis are lined up and shot by American soldiers. They riddled with bullet wounds and an overhead shot shows the aftermath. The scene isn't too graphic, as it is shot from afar and bodies are out of focus.
A woman is shown with dead children at her feet.
The film opens with a man being audibly seasick.
The violence is very infrequent. The most graphic scene is in a flashback sequence, when a whole bunch of people are lined up and shot by Nazis. Even then it's not too bloody.
Thousands of dead frozen corpses of children and adults are shown several times.
Because the violence is not constant, it is way more shocking when it happens.
Dead children are shown at a woman's feet.
The violence is far more tame than in Casino or Goodfellas.
Disturbing violence.
