Monty Python and the Holy Grail - Family Review

King Arthur, accompanied by his squire, recruits his Knights of the Round Table, including Sir Bedevere the Wise, Sir Lancelot the Brave, Sir Robin the Not-Quite-So-Brave-As-Sir-Lancelot and Sir Galahad the Pure. On the way, Arthur battles the Black Knight who, despite having had all his limbs chopped off, insists he can still fight. They reach Camelot, but Arthur decides not to enter, as "it is a silly place".

In one scene, a man is tempted by many women to spank and receive oral sex from each them (it's said they're between the ages of 16-19). Everyone in this scene is fully clothed however and nothing happens either as the man is saved by someone else from the perilous situation.

    Woman asks for oral sex.

A man says a woman's got "huge tracts of land", an innuendo referring to her breasts, but also referring to the fact that her father owns the biggest tracts of open land in the country.

A scene where it is a room full of women. They have clothing that is transparent and body parts can be seen. Some have dresses on and the outline of their nipples protrudes through.

One of the peasants said their scene was committed and not just a string of pussy jokes.

A knight has both his arms and legs chopped off. Lots of obviously fake blood. Played for laughs.

Nearly all violence is exaggerated and played for laughs. All scenes of bloodshed are so unrealistic and fake-looking they are unlikely to disturb.

Two knights sword fight. The fight ends when one knight throws a sword (which goes through the other knight's head). Blood briefly sprays.

Two men sword fight. Eventually, one man cuts off the other man's limbs one by one, drawing much blood. He is left on the floor without any limbs. Lasts about two minutes.

Somebody is stabbed, there is lots of blood.

Three men are stabbed, little detail.

Somebody gets shot in the chest with an arrow.

Lancelot slays multiple people at a wedding, and some people's clothes become blood-stained. His sword is also blood-stained.

British people are more likely to take offense to the language with words such as "bastard", "bint", "bloody", "pansy", "sod", "tart", and "tit". There's also 2 uses of "shit" and 1 use of "bitch" and "pussy".

The opening credits contains a sequence where the background rapidly flashes green and orange. This sequence may affect people with photosensitive conditions, but it only lasts for around 10-15 seconds, and is accompanied by Latin music - after the music ends, the flashing colours are gone and the movie is safe to watch.

Two scenes of gore include a fight between two knights and the killer rabbit, but the gore is unrealistic.

The killer rabbit is a little scary but really, it it played as funny.

Battles are more comical than intense.
