A man is seen in his room in his underwear. A very quick glimpse of his penis can be seen before he sits down and the camera moves.

A nude man is seen hanging from a tree. His penis is clearly seen and visible for a couple seconds.

In the "Redux" version of the film (not the original) we see three soldiers in a helicopter stripping playboy girls down to their bare breasts and then sex is implied. The original version of the film doesn't have this scene.

Male nudity (never explicit or provocative), brief sight of posters of woman posing in provocative ways, sometimes with breasts exposed (very brief), and a scene of women dancing sexual as entertainment for the troops, no nudity and not very graphic.

Multiple scenes of male genital nudity, including main character at the beginning, a corpse in a rolled over coffin, a soldier running and two corpses hanging.

We see a man's penis at the very start of the film for a half second. Not sexual at all.

In the 3 and a half hour Redux version of the film two women are seen topless for about two minutes.

There is almost no sexual content at all in the theatrical cut. There are scenes with non-sexual male nudity and some posters on the walls but otherwise nothing sexual.

The "Redux" version of the film has some sexual content including a scene of female nudity on top of what is in the original film.

The Redux of the film has a scene where women are topless for a long time.

A soldier is seen laying on the ground with his leg blown off and lots of blood surrounding him. The scene is pretty brief though.

Civilians and soldiers alike are gunned down and killed.

A portion of the film is spent in a surreal kingdom where nude and mutilated corpses are strewn around. We see the bodies hanging and missing limbs, severed heads laying around and the natives constantly being a threat to the characters.

A man punches a mirror and cuts his hand. Blood is shown on his torso as well as on the bed sheets and all over the place. This is a disturbing scene of war PTSD.

A man is killed with a machete in a heavily edited sequence. Some blood is seen as he is killed but this is intertwined with a more graphic image of animal death so it appears pretty tame.

There are bloody dead bodies shown throughout.

Lots of gunfights and explosions throughout.

A man is impaled with a spear and killed. Blood is seen on the tip and his chest.

A group of civilians are gunned down by soldiers after bombing a helicopter.

The violence in this movie is more disturbing than anything and there really isn't a lot of blood.

"Nigga" is used by black soldiers

There is language used in the film accurate to how soldiers talked in Vietnam. That being said it isn't too pervasive.

The theatrical cut of the film has 86 uses of fuck and the "Redux" cut of the film has 94 uses of fuck.

The redux version of the film contains one use of "cunt."

Jim Morrison's "The End" uses "fuck" multiple times in one part of it; this part can be heard in one scene of the film.

Colonel Kurtz is an ex commando and he creates his own little kingdom of savage villagers. He's developed a philosophy that savage killing is genius and necessary.

This film is very dark and disturbing.

The lighter and/or the semi-comedic scenes within the film add a little bit of relief between intense scenes but other than that the entire film is incredibly thought provoking.

This film is more comparable to a horror film as it has surreal imagery, unsettling images of gore and an overall feeling that your descending into insanity.

One of the most ominous, mind provoking films ever made, the philosophies portrayed by Kurt's through the end of the film is not for the weak, from second one the film is filled with mistery, expect darkness all though the movie.

Kurtz's village introduction is very intense and ominous.

A puppy is implied to have been killed. Disturbing to animal lovers.

The combat scenes may be intense to some
